Captured in Wisconsin, Printed To Last
From Lens To Living Room
In Black Hawk & The Breakaway, the heart-pounding intensity of the Janesville Grand Prix meets the solemn strength of a powerful mural. Riders tear down Main Street near Johnson Bank, flanked by vibrant storefronts and the monumental Black Hawk Mural by Jeff Henriquez. Created with spray paint in just 10 days, this mural honors Black Hawk, the Sauk leader and warrior whose legacy spans Illinois, Iowa, and Wisconsin. A Native American ceremony marked the mural’s completion, underscoring its cultural depth and community impact. This photo captures not just a race, but a moment where past and present meet—where history, art, and adrenaline collide.
